ROBOTICS FACTS

What are Robots?
Robot comes from the Czech word 'robota' which means 'forced work or labor'. We use the word "Robot" today to mean any man-made machine that can perform work or other actions normally performed by humans, either automatically or by remote control.
What do Robots do?
Most robots today are used to do repetitive (boring) actions or jobs considered too dangerous for humans. They are also used in factories to build things like cars, candy bars, and electronics. Some robots are even designed to explore underwater and on other planets!
Why Use Robots?
The reason we use robots is because it is cheaper, easier and sometimes the only way we can get things done! Robots can explore inside gas tanks, volcanoes, Mars and other places too dangerous for humans to go! Robots also can do one thing over and over again without getting bored – is that something you could do? Think about it – standing in one place doing the same thing all day and night would get pretty boring! Another reason to use robots is because they never get sick, don’t need to take a day off, and best of all they don’t ever complain!
What are Robots Made Of?
Well, Robots can be made from a variety of materials including metals and plastics and most robots usually have at least 3 main parts:
  • Controller - also known as the "brain" which is run by a computer program
  • Mechanical parts - motors, pistons, grippers, wheels, gears that make the robot move usually powered by air, water, or electricity.
  • Sensors to tell the robot about its surroundings. These parts working together control how the robot operates. Without the controller or "brain", motors, and sensors, robots would not be able to function.

Robot ????
Many of us think we know about this word but do we really know about it????????
According to my views we tend that we know about it but we really dont.

WHAT IS A ROBOT????
A program that runs automatically without human intervention. Typically, a robot is endowed with some artificial intelligence so that it can react to different situations it may encounter

Same thing happened in Kulachi Hansraj Model School & many students attended these classes and i was one of them.
Now i would like to share my expirience with you

MY EXPIRIENCE
One the first day i was very nervous that what would happen during the class but eventually my nervousness flew away when i worked on the boe-bot and learnt about it theoritically.
I encountered many problems but they were taken full care by our teachers namely
1) Mr. Arvind Kumar &
2) Ms. Neeta Kapoor

Day by day we procceeded further & i became more friendly to the circuits ,programming & working .
I'm not able to understand why these days go ahead so fast.
I would surely wanna get more of these kind workshop in my future

"I AM LOVING IT"

"bhai wah....!
summers mein cool kaar diya."
it was a great experience,a little bit of MUSHKIL but a great great experience b'coz i came to know many things about robots....their working ......their circuits.......& ofcource
about their artificial intelligence.
NO nervousness!AS I M VER much INTERESTED in this particular programme....but 1 thing made me nervous was...when we will attach the speaker the boe-bot will say"kyu taang kar rakha hai bhai"!

well!
every thing was good..infact the trainer was exellent...the whole programme was exellent & would love ro have that again!

"Shanti;
Robots according to me are cool BEINGS. They are so cute and work according to our commands. It was really fun to attend the workshop on robotics conducted by our school Kulachi Hansraj Model School. It was a 6-day workshop but I wish it would have been longer. We got to learn really some very good facts and concepts about robotics and a bit even about electronics.I really thank Nita mam and Aravind sir ,for teaching us about robots. It was very interesting to make the robots move in circles ,triangles, squares, octagonal shapes, hut shapes and many more. We made many circuits, made the robots glow with the help of
L.E.D's. We were also given many interesting projects to make like traffic lights, piano, buzzer, sensors etc.I hope our school conducts a second session of this workshop very soon.
I am eagerly waiting.

Robotics Workshop was one of the best experiences of my life...
i got to learn much about robots...i learned its practical use in life..(like making traffic lights, sensing devices,etc..)
Throughout the workshop v had full support of our teacher Ms. NITA ARORA
and our robotics sir Mr. ARVIND SINGH ..they helped us against every obstacle that came in front of us...

i just wanna say that such kind of workshops should be more encouraged so that students can gain much out of them..
